Igbo Community Association in the Midlands

The Igbo Community Association in the Midlands (ICAM) is a non-profit community organisation whose purpose is to propagate the rich culture, heritage and traditions of the Igbo people of South Eastern Nigeria as well as draw the community in the West Midlands closer together. We aim to achieve this through various activities and events such as Igbo Day, Igbo Language and Cultural Course, Igbo dance course, Igbo cuisine cookery classes, youth seminars and so much more. ICAM has been doing this for over 20 years and will continue to do so more many more years to come.

Whether you are 18 or 80, come and join us and be part of a community that is rich in Igbo culture, traditions, learning and friendship. Igbo Day Event is an example of our togetherness.

The ICAM book Club focuses on the cultural and literary heritage of the Igbo people globally. Igboland is known for producing some of the most renowned African writers, including Chinua Achebe, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, and Buchi Emecheta. The club members dedicate time reading and discussing books by Igbo writers from around the world. Doing this also creates a sense of community and pride among its readers who share a love for Igbo literature and culture. Details to follow.
